His loving presence is all-inclusive. It recognizes no barriers, boundaries, race, color, or creed. God is good to all. Therefore, his “children” are also good to all. Children of God are sincere, wise, alert, gentle, and courageous. A loving presence is a mature presence. In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul aptly describes the essence of love. "Love is patient and kind. Love does not envy. Love does not make a vain display of itself, and does not boast. Love does not behave itself unseemly, it seeks not its own, it is not easily provoked, and thinks no evil. Love rejoices not over iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never comes to an end." A loving presence is a place where God is happening; that is, peace, joy, and harmony are manifesting. We cannot plan, calculate or personalize this kind of love. Love is transpersonal and it simply is! Calculative thinking cannot operate or function in the presence of love. God is Spirit. God is a living presence and not merely laws. Love, peace, joy, and harmony are the very essence and presence we call God. We are expressions and reflections of divine awareness that manifest this very presence. This is our metaphysical purpose in life. |
